Roll Up Stretchers

Despite the major advances that have been undertaken in the medical and hospital environment over the last few years, stretchers have been left behind. They have barely changed since the days blankets and branches were being used to transport patients away from a danger zone.

The development of roll up stretchers have helped to change this image. Roll up stretchers are lightweight stretchers that can be collapsed and rolled until they fit into a backpack. This makes them ideal for storage when not in use and gives the operator use of both hands when still accessing their patient. This may include having to use additional evacuation equipment to reach the individual.

Despite being lightweight and roll-able, roll up stretchers offer the same level of support as rigid ones despite their flexibility. Once placed flat on the ground, patients are secured through the use of straps, just as they would be in an ordinary stretcher. Flattened out, roll up stretchers provide the patient with support and protection while they are being evacuated from the danger zone.
